CW Research: Indian petcoke CFR prices pick up in January

In late January, India's West Coast CFR average prices for high and mid-sulfur petcoke recorded a slim improvement compared to the previous month, according to CW Research's India Petcoke CFR Price Assessment update for January.

The average cost of burning high-sulfur petcoke is currently at a premium of around 26+ percent, on an mmBTU basis, when compared to Richards Bay coal for West Coast. In December, the discount rate stood at around 24 percent.
