In this issue of the Feature series, CemWeek is talking to Alimiya Osman, Head of Projects at Tanzania's Tanga Cement Company. Osman recently spearheaded a project to modernize the Tanga plant, installing a new Process Control System (PCS).

The project, motivated in part by difficulties in maintaining the 1980s plant's old analog systems, has been a key part in raising further the plant efficiency and enhance the safety of its. Tanga Cement Company Ltd is  part of Africa's cement group, Afrisam, and one of the key players in the Tanzanian and East African Cement market. [$]
