CW Group Research: Global Cement Prices at a Standstill

Global cement prices started 3Q 2012 on an upward trend that was fully reversed by the end of the quarter. Preliminary price levels reported for 2012 initially revealed an uninterrupted series of monthly price increases for the first seven months of the year.

After definitive numbers were integrated in the official retail cement price index calculated by CW Group as an integral part of the Global Cement Retail Price Report (GCRPR), the first signs of decline appeared.
