Green petcoke production continued to drop YoY in March in Brazil. Green petcoke production continued to decrease YoY in March in Paraná. Year-on-year, green petcoke production kept dropping in March in São Paulo


Green petcoke production in Brazil rose by 5.5% to 809,258 tons during the month of March compared to the previous month, when it was 767,053 tons. Year-on-year, green petcoke production weakened 8.6% from 885,676 tons. During the first three months of the year, green petcoke production was 2.4 million tons, down 8.0% compared to the same period last year

Green petcoke production in Rio de Janeiro increased by 43.9% to 116,214 tons during the month of March compared to the previous month, when it was 80,742 tons. Compared to the same period last year, green petcoke production strengthened from 58,611 tons, up by 98.3%. Year-to-date green petcoke production reached 0.3 million tons, compared to 0.2 million tons posted in the same period last year. This is a 61,009 tons or 28.3% increase for the first 3 months of the year.

Green petcoke production in Rio Grande do Sul posted a 101.9% month-on-month growth in March, reaching 24,068 tons. Compared to the same period last year, green petcoke production decreased by 39.3% from when it was 39,638 tons. During the first three months of the year, green petcoke production stood at 0.1 million tons, down 34.4% compared to the same period last year.

Green petcoke production in Minas Gerais posted a 40.3% month-on-month growth in March, reaching 65,801 tons. Compared to the same period last year, green petcoke production weakened by 37.7% from when it was 105,566 tons. For the year-to-date through March, green petcoke production was down by 161,292 tons or 49.6%, totaling 0.2 million tons for the first three months of the year.

Green petcoke production in Paraná improved 31.4% month-on-month in March, reaching 98,840 tons. Year-on-year, green petcoke production fell 5.2% from 104,261 tons. During the first three months of the year, green petcoke production reached 0.3 million tons, down 13.7% compared to the same period last year.

Green petcoke production in São Paulo decreased to 413,451 tons in March, down 11.4% from 466,634 tons in February. Compared to the same period last year, green petcoke production dropped by 21.6% from when it was 527,237 tons. Year-to-date green petcoke production reached 1.4 million tons, compared to 1.5 million tons posted in the same period last year. This is a 143,117 tons or 9.5% decline for the first 3 months of the year.

Green petcoke production in Pernambuco rose to 90,881 tons in March, up 6.1% from 85,623 tons in February. Compared to the same period last year, green petcoke production increased by 80.5% from when it was 50,362 tons. During the first three months of the year, green petcoke production totaled 1.4 million tons, down 9.5% compared to the same period last year.
