Meanwhile, the price of mid-sulfur imported petcoke increased by 5.0 percent MoM on both coasts. The monthly update sees the average cost of burning high sulfur petcoke on per unit of calorific value basis at a discount of 32 percent as compared to $1.28 per ton of Richards Bay coal for West Coast. In comparison, the average cost of burning high sulfur petcoke was at a discount of 39 percent in March. ÔÇ£Avails for petcoke from the US and Saudi sources are currently very tight.
