Autobag 850SP: A breakthrough in eco-friendly packaging

SEE's new Autobag 850SP bagging machine is revolutionizing packaging. It offers continuous bag feeding, in-line printing, and automatic sealing – all while using 100 percent paper bags for recyclability.

This is a significant shift for the Autobag brand, which previously focused on polyethylene bags. Stéphane Flandrin, Commercial Autobag at SEE, explains their commitment to recycling: "Being ISO 14 001 certified, SEE recycles production scraps into packaging products." Creating a 100 percent paper bag was challenging, but SEE's expertise resulted in a thin coating suitable for recycling in the paper/cardboard industry. The Autobag 850SP is ideal for e-commerce, particularly in textiles. It can package light products with excellent resistance, crucial for distributors.

Additionally, the machine offers just-in-time, online printing of shipping information, reducing errors and speeding up shipping times. The pouches can also include a resealable adhesive strip, promoting eco-friendly practices. Currently undergoing testing at customer sites, production will shift to Europe in early 2024 to meet local demand.
