With the surging demand for renewable energy, the wind power industry is in the spotlight, requiring components that offer exceptional efficiency and unwavering reliability.

NKE, known for its premium rolling bearings sold in over 80 countries, faced challenges related to transportation damage, particularly for heavy and valuable hybrid bearings. These damages often went unnoticed until installation, causing costly delays in wind energy production. To tackle this issue, Mondi Grünburg swiftly leveraged its expertise in packaging solutions to design an innovative package with one-way shock sensors, providing real-time feedback on the bearing's condition upon arrival.

Remarkably, this collaboration, typically known for packaging solutions in FMCG and food and beverage sectors, was completed within just three weeks. Mondi Grünburg's design integrates offset and flexo printing, offering visually appealing packaging with usage instructions, eliminating the need for additional documents. Rigorous testing and certification at Mondi’s lab ensure optimal protection.
