{reg}The 55th International Pulp and Paper Congress, ABTCP 2023, is set to emphasize the pivotal role of innovation in advancing circularity within the forest-based industry. This annual event, hosted by the Brazilian Pulp and Paper Technical Association (ABTCP), takes place from October 17th to 19th at São Paulo's Novotel Center Norte. The central theme of this edition focuses on innovation's influence on current competitiveness and its potential to shape the sector's future. Silvana Meister Sommer, Manager of Industrial Research and Development at Klabin and President of ABTCP 2023, states, "During the three-day event, we will demonstrate how we are entering new markets and applications, where waste from the cellulose and paper industry and biomaterials from wood can be transformed into innovative products."

ABTCP 2023 offers a unique opportunity for executives, professionals, students, and experts from various fields to stay informed and explore the latest trends across a wide range of topics. The program includes technical sessions covering Pulp, Paper, Environment, Sustainability, Forestry, Industry 4.0, Engineering and Digital Transformation, Recovery and Energy, and Biorefinery.

Distinguished researchers such as Pedro Fardim, Niklas Berglin, Roberto Andres Villarroel Guerrero, Luana Dessbesell, Teruyuki Mori, Manabu Yamamoto, and Graziela Baptista Vidaurre are among the confirmed participants.

Viviane Nunes, Head of People Training at Universidade Setorial ABTCP, underscores the importance of the event's evaluation committee, which assembles contributions from academia and industry professionals worldwide. This ensures that the latest and most relevant developments in the sector are incorporated into the program.

Silvana emphasizes that ABTCP's value extends beyond technical exchange, focusing on experience sharing and networking. She highlights the essential role of people and their perspectives in shaping the industry amid advanced technology.[/reg]
