Heilongjiang Sea Cement Co inaugurates new clinker line

Jixi City's Sea Cement Company celebrated the start of a new 2.000 tpd clinker line on September 25, 2008. {reg}The 50-year old Sea Cement plant has been undergoing modernization as a part of a restructuring effort started in 2007. The new clinker line was designed with energy conservation in mind and has cost 500 million yuan to transform. The line's coal consumption per ton of cement produced has been decreased from 350 kilos to 180 kilos, with 110 kilos having been reached. The investment has also included a new pulse-jet bag filters. The capacity of the new line is 650.000 tons per year, which later may be increased to 1.000.000 tons per year. The plant is now one of the largest in the region, reports CBMI.
