Portuguese cement group Cimpor is looking to meet growing Moroccan demand for cement by building a new 750.000 plant at a cost of 100 million euros. The new factory will be located in Ain Jemaa (Meknes area) in the form of a new unit called Asment du Centre S.A. Cimpor already has a plan in Morocco through its ownership of Asment de Temara S.A. which it acquired in 1996.
