Texas Lehigh Cement has been experimenting with "green fuels" to replace coal as the primary fuel source at the Buda plant. Initial results indicate that if 20% of the coal used at the factory can be replaced, the plant will cut its carbon emissions by more than 20.000 tons a year, or 5% of its total emissions. [$]
